Mannatech Scam – A Review To See Is There Really Opportunity Here?
As a first step I believe we need to look into and see if the criticism about Mannatech Scam is valid. The company was founded by Sam Caster in 1994 and its headquarters is in Coppell Texas. Mannatech is currently doing business not only in the United States but also in 15 other countries across the globe.
The company uses a sales strategy known as direct sales or Network Marketing to sell its products. Many of its products are based upon glyconutrients or sugars. Their nutritional products, they have for approximately 25 products to offer. They also have a weight management system as well as several skin care products.
The company’s leading product is a product called “Ambrotose”. The company web site states that Ambrotose is “a glyconutritional dietary supplement ingredient consisting of a blend of monosaccarides, or sugar molecules”.
Sam Castor, the founder of the company is currently banned from serving as an officer, director, or employee of the company. He also had to pay a $1 million civil penalty, along with a $4 million restitution payment to Texas customers imposed on his company. The reason the government took action in February 2009, due to “misleading claims and advertising”. If you decide to become a distributor for Mannatech, you’ll need to be very careful not to make claims that the products can cure or treat illnesses. This is what landed the company in trouble.
The industry is filled with health and wellness companies and many will tell you that the market is over saturated. Well, that may be true but if you have good products and know how to market you can raise above your competition. Putting the troubles of 2009 behind you, the company continues to grow and still remains a very popular and successful opportunity.
I believe the biggest factors for the success of this company is this, “Their products come with a six month satisfaction guarantee and are used by over half a million people across 16 different countries worldwide.”
Mannatech has a wonderful executive team headed up by co-ceo’s Stephen Fenstermacher & Robert Sinnott. Together they have extensive and impressive experience in the business world. Combine that with the experience of 5 other executives on the team, I would say the company is set pretty well for future growth.
The Opportunity
If you are serious about becoming a Mannatech distributor, then you will need to spend some time looking over the products so you can be sure you want to promote them.
